We filed an ethics complaint against Sen. Bousselot

Yesterday, we filed an ethics complaint against Senator Mike Bousselot (R-Ankeny). Here is why…

Bousselot worked for Bruce Rastetter, who owns the Summit pipeline company. Bousselot also worked for former Gov Terry Branstad, who’s a top policy advisor for Summit Carbon Solutions.

These relationships are no coincidence - they have been built to put corporate greed before what's best for everyday Iowans.

Instead of listening to 78% of all Iowans who oppose eminent domain for pipelines, Bousselot carried water for his friends at Summit.

That ain’t right!

That's why we're asking the Senate Ethics Committee to censure and remove Bousselot from his committee assignments but most importantly we are asking them to urge Senate Majority Leader Jack Whitver (R-Ankeny/Grimes) to pass HF 565 before the end of the session!

Bousselot and Summit Carbon Solutions want us to believe that HF 565 is dead - we know that's not true.

Whitver has the power to introduce a bill or move existing legislation at any time during the session.

Will you contact Senate Majority Leader Whitver today?

Send him an email here. Then let us know if you hear anything!
