Stop factory farms lobby day

The legislative session has begun and it's up to us to build momentum for a moratorium to stop new and expanding factory farms.

While the political landscape in Iowa is fraught, if there is one thing Iowa CCI members do is persevere. Our organizing has put issues – like a factory farm moratorium and clean water – on the map.

That’s why we are asking you to join us on Wednesday, January 25th, at the Iowa State Capitol for a day of learning and lobbying! RSVP here.

We will be meeting in the first-floor rotunda at 10:30 am. Here is what you can expect for the day:

  • 10:30 - 12:00 pm Lobby training,

  • 12:00 - 12:30 lunch provided,

  • 12:30 - 1:00 Rally, 

  • 1:00 - 2:00 Lobby upstairs,

  • 2:00 - 2:30 debrief back in the rotunda.

We need a moratorium NOW. We need clean water and a food and farm system that works for farmers, workers, eaters, livestock and the environment NOW! RSVP here.
