UPDATE: EPA Director Gina McCarthy to meet with CCI

CCI members did it, and we couldn't be more thankful.

Early August 14th, we let you know that Environmental Protection Agency Director Gina McCarthy was coming to Iowa August 15th to attend public events at the Iowa State Fair put on by Governor Branstad and the Iowa Farm Bureau, and meet with other corporate ag interest groups - the very same people actively trying to prevent Clean Water Act implementation for factory farms.

Shortly after, we asked members like you to call EPA and demand they meet with CCI members to hear everyday Iowans' clean water concerns, too.

Calls poured in to the EPA from across the state. Independent family farmers, nurses, teachers, and everyday Iowans took 2 minutes to call and ask for a seat at the table.Because of Iowans like you, hours after the initial announcement, we were granted a meeting with EPA Director Gina McCarthy tomorrow afternoon.

Member leaders will be there to deliver your message - enforce the Clean Water Act for factory farms in Iowa, and clean it up! We'll be sure to let you know how the meeting goes.
