George Naylor in "At Any Price"
George Naylor, long-time family farm and CCI activist, appears on the big screen
Naylor is a veteran CCI and local foods farmer and activist - now, he gets to play the role of farmer on the big screen, too. Naylor plays Farmer George, a character in the newly-released fiction movie showcasing the hard facts of modern, industrialized agriculture - At Any Price.
In At Any Price, the competitive father Henry Whipple (Dennis Quaid) wants his rebellious son Dean Whipple (Zac Effron) to help expand the family's farming empire. When the modern farming family's business is threatened by an unexpected investigation by powerful agriculture interests and the crisis that follows, the family's livelihood is threatened.
In the summer of 2010, the film's director stayed with Naylor on several occasions to get ideas for the film's script, and gain a better understanding of Iowa agriculture.
In the movie, Naylor plays Farmer George in a short but pivotal scene regarding the future of the Whipple family farm. Check out George Naylor in At Any Price
