The face of #Nobakken resistance

Dick and Judy Lamb are two of the dozens of landowners refusing to sign over their land to Dakota Access. On Tuesday, they had their condemnation commission hearing to determine the amount that Dakota Access must pay for their property in the eminent domain seizure of their land. The verdict: the county decided their land was worth even less than what Dakota Access had originally offered.Steven, a landowner from Wapello County, says he lost $100,000 in payments by holding out and not selling. This adds insult to injury. And, is bullying by Big Oil. But they aren’t giving up, they are vowing to fight on, because this is about more than money. This is about our land, our water, our rights, and who our government works for. Stand with landowners and keep the #NoBakken issue hot! Next Monday Dan Hickenbottom, a Story County landowner, has his condemnation commission hearing. He wants you there. Iowa CCI and Bold Iowa will hold a joint press conference and rally in support.
