Iowa CCI members organize for long-term people power in Iowa politics and a system where elected officials put people before politics, profits, and polluters. We believe in an Iowa and democracy where everyday, local people are in the driver’s seat of crafting solutions to meet our needs.
We believe that elected officials should co-govern with the people, not big-money corporations, the mega-rich, campaign advisors, or the consultant class. We are fighting for:
Elected officials who come from our communities and who govern with the people, not big-money corporations and a wealthy few.
Getting big money out of politics, expanding voting rights, and publicly financed elections.
Long-term political power for the people, so that our elected officials will co-govern with the people.
