Are you sick of “business as usual” politics?

Here at Iowa CCI, we certainly are! That’s why we’re excited to announce that we’ll be holding a series of Doing Politics Differently meetings across the state.

We’ll discuss the political moment that we’re in, how we can use elections to advance our issues, and some big-deal upcoming events to change the way we do politics.

We know that “business as usual” politics got us into this mess – join us to talk about how we can start Doing Politics Differently.

05.31.2017 06:30 PM - 08:00 PM What's next for Des Moines Water Works?
2540 E Euclid Ave
Des Moines

We’re going all out to continue our fight for clean water this year!

That includes showing up strong for the Des Moines Water Works. We need clean water, not corporate water!

Stopping legislative retaliatory efforts to dismantle the Water Works was a big victory, but we know that these corporate ag attacks are only going to continue.

Join us on Wednesday, May 31 to hear from DMWW CEO Bill Stowe and board member Graham Gillette to learn:

·       What’s next after the DMWW lawsuit against three up-stream drainage districts

·       The three biggest issues facing Des Moines Water Works

·       Why having a strong, independent board is important.

What: Clean Water Teach-in with Bill Stowe, Graham Gillette, and Cherie Mortice

When: Wednesday, May 31 6:30-8:00pm

Where: Euclid Room @ Hy-Vee, 2540 E. Euclid Ave, Des Moines

RSVP here.

Cherie Mortice, Des Moines east-sider and Iowa CCI board president, will also share why she’s asking Mayor Cownie to appoint her to fill a vacancy on the Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) Board of Trustees.

THEY dump it. YOU drink it. We won’t stop until they clean it up.

See you soon!
